No. At first you will have limited admin rights – you will be able to modify your theme using builder, create and edits posts, create forms using gravity forms and upload media. Additionally, you will be set up with lots of great plugins ready for you to use, such as MailChimp and Aweber widget plugins, Google analytics, site maps, SEO management, and social sharing and bookmarking plugins. A site like this usually costs at least $350-500, especially with the premium plugins and theme frameworks that you will have access to. In order to protect my investment in these powerful tools for you, you will have limited admin abilities that do not allow you to make a full copy of the site and take it somewhere else within the first year. After one full year of service with bad, you will be given full admin rights to your site. And while we hope you are happy and want to stay with us after that point for your website hosting an d support needs, well understand if your what to go somewhere else.

If you want to move your site before you have finished one film year of service with us, then we will be happy to export your content and media for you to install somewhere else (well even give you a full database export), without the theme framework or any of the plugins, or you can pay the balance of your one yet of service and well package up the whole site for you – theme, plugins and all. (plugins and theme framework blah at be subject to license expiration restrictions. License does not transfer with the site.)

Can I add my own plugins?During the 1st year, any additional plugins must be added by me. Why? Well, for two reasons – 1 to protect your site and others hosted by this service. Some plugins can contain malicious code that can weaken the security and integrity of a site. In order to prevent this, all additional plugins that you might want to use on your site must be requested and will be installed within 12-24 hours, assuming there is no security issue with the plugin. 2 – again, to protect my investment in the premium tools that I am making available to you. There are many backup plugins out there that could allow you to make a copy of your site without fully paying for it. You may request up to 2 plugins per month. You. An borrow plugin requests from another month, so long as your annual average is not more than 2 plugins requested/installed per month.

Yes, I will backup your site and no, there is no additional cost for this. I know that every responsible website owner make regular backups of their site, and it would be irresponsible to not let you protect your time and energy put in to making your website great. For as long as you are using the VAWebExpress service, I will maintain at least one full backup for your site, including media run every 2 weeks and a weekly db backup for your site with all posts, pages and comments.

Nope. As long as you can type an email, you can use WordPress. It’s easy to add text, images and other content to your site without needing to know any programming.

Each website is created when ordered, so it can take up to 12 hours before you will have access to your site. But, in the meantime, you can start working on content. Once your order is received, the setup request will be sent to our team of installation specialists. You’ll also start receiving our tips and recommendations to make your website great, so you can start working on those content gems while we’re working our magic.

No. As long as you use a web browser, such as Firefox, Chrome, Safari or Internet Explorer, you can use either a Mac or a PC to build your site.

You can register your own domain name, or we can help you with that, but a domain name is not included in our packages. After you place your order, you’ll receive information about how to set up your domain to work with our servers. If you’re registering your domain name with us, we’ll take care of that for you. Domain name registration will be billed separately from your website order.

Absolutely. If you already have your domain name, indicate that on the order form and we’ll send you the information you need to point your domain name to our servers.

Yes! We install the iThemes Builder framework on all VAWebExpress sites, so you can easily change you site design, from top to bottom and everything in between, by using one of the available Child Themes or customizing your own style using the Style Manager.

Sorry, membership sites aren’t available on our Basic or Express sites at this time. We’re working out pricing and packages for membership sites, and plan to gave them available soon.

As part of your subscription, your site will automatically be submitted to Google your sitemap. We also recommend looking signing up with Google Webmaster Tools, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Yahoo Site Explorer to get additional valuable information about your site and your visitors.
